data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The first traces of the Russian community in Rawdon date back to 1929, when a certain M<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">rs.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0Jacob Kaghinski opened the first Russian boarding house. Three years later, D<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">r<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0Kozatchenco purchased a residence at the corner of Albert Street and 11<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">e<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0Avenue. The Russian community continued to grow in the Dollard Street area, near 11<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">e<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0Avenue and 13<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">e<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0Avenue. Finally, the end of the Second World War brought a new wave of Russian immigrants to Rawdon. Today, there are about fifty Russian families, mainly integrated into the English-speaking community. Of interest, the founder of Les Grands Ballets canadiens, M<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">rs.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.histoirederawdon.ca\/en\/ludmilla-chiriaeff\/\"> Ludmilla Chiriaeff <\/a>lived for many years in Rawdon.
