The first German family to come and live in Rawdon was that of Mr. Hollinger at the turn of the 1930s. Mr. Hollinger turned out to be a prosperous industrialist who built around thirty houses in all. Mr. Shepp, of the same nationality, arrived at the same time and made his mark in the field of engineering.<\/span><\/p>
