These are thought to have been founded even before the municipal council. Other civic institutions and community organizations followed. Later on, the citizens of Rawdon came to enjoy life in the countryside surrounded by nature. In the 20th century, tourism influenced not only economic life but also community life by bringing to Rawdon many new citizens who acquired temporary accommodations, cottages and second homes before, in some cases, living there on a permanent basis. Collectively, they developed interests in culture, leisure and sports.

This new chapter in the history of Rawdon starts with the churches and the schools. Civic institutions such as the post office and the municipal council should soon be added.
